Based in Drayton ND Matt Thompson previously spent 16 years as a location manager for Nutrien. He led the company in areas of sales and marketing, while also offering managerial insight to Nutrien’s growing locations. Other responsibilities included hiring and letting go of personnel and preparing profit and loss statements. In addition to his professional activities, he has spent four years on the Drayton Park Board and four years with the Drayton Economic Development Board.
Mr. Thompson studied plant industry management at the University of Minnesota. He spent three years as a member of the university’s College Agronomy Team. He has achieved hazardous material response cleanup training certification and maintains a North Dakota pesticide application and dealer's license. He enjoys leading an active lifestyle, with interests including hunting, fishing, and watching his children play sports.
